Journey
to a Healthy Back begins Saturday, March 6th
A new four week course, Journey to a Healthy Back, will begin Saturday March 6th from 9 - 10:30 a.m. Anyone with chronic back issues or anyone new to Iyengar Yoga is encouraged to enroll. Each class will progress systematically with close attention to postural alignment. Students will learn safe ways of improving flexibility in hips and shoulders, while building strength in weak areas. Guidance will be given on relaxing muscles surrounding the area of challenge and using the breath as a means to release tension and heal. The course is not appropriate for those with acute pain or spinal injuries. Enrollment is limited. Pre-registration is preferred. Course fee $60. |

Friendship Yoga, established in 1993, is one of the oldest and most highly respected yoga centers in the Iowa. We offer courses for students of all levels, weekend workshops and retreats, as well as programs covering various aspects of the science and art of yoga. Our curriculum is based on the teachings of B.K.S. Iyengar, the world’s foremost living yoga teacher. The Iyengar method is precise, systematic, and accessible to students of all ages and abilities. Nancy Footner, the only certified Iyengar Yoga teacher in Iowa, is the founder and director of Friendship Yoga. |
