If you seek physical, emotional and mental equanimity from your yoga practice, here is an opportunity to learn the poses that are particularly suited to the menstrual period. Although this workshop is not intended to diagnose or treat menstrual disorders, you will learn how to ease some of the discomforts that are commonly associated with “that time of the month”, such as cramping, low back pain, heavy bleeding, low energy, and emotional turbulence.
You will also come away from this workshop with a better understanding of how the philosophy of yoga supports the inherent cyclical nature of a woman’s physiology, and how that can be empowering.
This workshop is open to anyone who has a serious interest in yoga. Students
from other methods are welcome to attend. Two months of previous yoga experience is recommended.
