in 1985 at the San Francisco Iyengar Yoga Institute. The
Iyengar National Association of the United States sets rigorous
and stringent standards for teacher training and certification. Nancy's continuing education includes ongoing training with Senior Certified Iyengar teachers as well as intensive studies at the Iyengar Institute in India in 1999, 2002, 2004, and 2011. Jenn and Kirsten study on a regular basis with senior certified Iyengar teachers.

are considered definitive. Iyengar Yoga is a systematic and
dynamic practice, with an emphasis on precise alignment and
therapeutics. The classes cover the full range of classical
postures and end with quiet relaxation poses. Props and modifications
are utilized, allowing access for all ages, body types, and
levels of conditioning.

time, and with practice, extraneous tension is released
